JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say foul play is not suspected in the death of a man who was found unconscious and bleeding on a Jersey City sidewalk this week.

But it’s still not clear how the man was injured or what caused his death. And his identity has not been released.

The Jersey Journal (https://bit.ly/MunQ41) reports that the man was found around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. He had injuries to his hands and head and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

It’s not yet clear how long the man was on the sidewalk before he was found or whether he lived in the area.

Further details on the investigation have not been disclosed.
