BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - The Biloxi City Council didn’t comment on the mix-up with Coast Transit Authority before pulling the additional $65,000 it had approved last week.
Council President Paul Tisdale said after Tuesday’s meeting the action was taken because CTA eliminated some service, contrary to what was in the resolution as adopted. The resolution was amended at the start of the meeting and said if the city contributed the $65,000, service would be maintained.
Kevin Coggin, CTA executive director, left the meeting after the vote and had no comment. He told the Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1bLiVrb) last week he had not seen the resolution and would not have agreed to maintain current service when Biloxi contributed only half of the $130,000 requested.
