FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona had been among the states rated as high-risk for security problems as it prepared to roll out a hub to the federal health care exchange.
Documents provided to The Associated Press show more than two-thirds of states had potential security problems with systems designed to tap into federal computers to verify sensitive personal information.
A spokeswoman for Arizona’s Medicaid program, Monica Coury, says the nine high-risk findings identified by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have been resolved. Arizona rolled out its link on Oct. 19.
Coury says most of the findings were related to policies needed to satisfy federal requirements on auditing and maintenance. She characterized them as minor issues.
Arizona has a three-year authorization to connect to the federal health care exchange.
