PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Relatives of a bicyclist killed by a delivery truck in May 2012 in downtown Portland have agreed to settle a lawsuit for $700,000.

KATU-TV reports (https://is.gd/iFOFIP ) that Kathryn Rickson collided with the truck as it was turning right.

Police investigated and declined to cite driver Dawayne Eacret. Prosecutors also investigated and decided against charging the driver with any crime.

The Rickson family sued the company Eacret worked for, Quality Custom Distribution Services, and its parent company, Golden State Foods. KATU says closing arguments in the trial were to begin Wednesday in Portland, but both sides reached a settlement before the case went to a jury.
