ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (AP) - A St. Albans man faces an accessory charge in the slaying of his girlfriend’s mother.

Kanawha County sheriff’s Cpl. Brian Humphreys said Wednesday that 32-year-old Shawn Legg was charge Tuesday with accessory to murder after the fact.

Humphreys says Legg is accused of disposing of an item used as a weapon against 59-year-old Eva Linda Woods. Humphreys didn’t say what the item was or how it was used.

Police charged Woods’ daughter, 36-year-old Jessica Woods, on Monday with first-degree murder.

Humphreys says Legg was living with Jessica Woods at her mother’s house near St. Albans.

Police found Eva Linda Woods’ body on Sunday in a shed behind the house. Neighbors had reported her missing on Saturday.

Both suspects are being held at the South Central Regional Jail.
