LAS VEGAS (AP) - Jubilee!, the campy Las Vegas show with over-the-top costumes, chorus boys and showgirls, is reopening next month with an updated vibe.

The longest-running show on the Strip is set to make its return at Bally’s Las Vegas hotel-casino on March 17. The show went dark at the end of January.

The revamped Jubilee! will have a more modern feel under the direction of Frank Gatson Jr., who claims responsibility for developing the hand gesture from Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” music video.

The new Jubilee! is expected to retain some of the costumes and sets that date to the show’s 1981 debut. The show, originally titled Hollywood Jubilee, is one of the last of the flamboyant showgirl reviews that were once wildly popular on the Strip.
