FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A request from a man seeking early release from prison for his role in his estranged wife’s murder has been denied.
A three-judge panel in Frederick County Circuit Court on Monday denied the request from 58-year-old William Fagan of Walkersville.
Fagan pleaded guilty to murder conspiracy in the shooting of 30-year-old Deborah Fagan in 1992. He was sentenced to life with all but 10 years suspended and was released in 2000. A drunken driving conviction in 2003 violated his probation and sent him back to prison for life.
The News-Post of Frederick reports (https://bit.ly/1mGmgN5) that Fagan’s lawyer argued before the panel that he had received no treatment for alcohol abuse when he was arrested in 2003.
