DILLON, Colo. (AP) - The Summit County district attorney’s office and Dillon Police Department say interim police chief Brian Brady has resigned after authorities began investigating whether he committed perjury over a parking ticket dispute.

His resignation last week came two days after the Summit Daily News (https://tinyurl.com/pfrcxja) filed open records requests with the district attorney’s office and the police department.

Town officials said the records involved personnel matters, but released the records after the investigation ended without charges being filed. The investigation involved allegations that Brady changed his report of a parking ticket and lied about it.

Brady did not return phone calls seeking comment.
