LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A former teacher at a Catholic school in central Kentucky has pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree rape.

WAVE-TV (https://bit.ly/1hbks9Y) reports Matthew Bowling entered the plea in exchange for probation for five years.

Prosecutors said the former teacher at Bethlehem High School in Nelson County had an inappropriate relationship with a student. He was indicted last summer after the girl’s mother complained to police.

The plea deal also calls for Bowling to get therapy.
