MARICOPA, Ariz. (AP) - A man was killed when an ultralight aircraft crashed on the Ak-Chin Indian Reservation.

Authorities say the crash occurred late Sunday at an airport on the reservation located between Casa Grande and Maricopa.

The victim’s identity was not immediately released, and a tribal police spokeswoman, Lt. Sylvia Soliz, did not immediately return a call Monday.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said the FAA and the National Transportation Safety board will investigate the crash.
