MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) - The number of music lovers attending the University of Idaho’s annual Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival is dropping.
The Moscow-Pullman Daily News (https://bit.ly/1juCzbf) reports that less than half of the number of people who attend the festival five years ago bought tickets to the 47-year-old event this year.
In 2009, more than 2,000 tickets were sold for Wednesday concerts. This year, Unviersity of Idaho Ticket Office Manager Christopher Apenbrink says about 800 were sold. That trend continued on Thursday. The final ticket numbers for Friday’s concerts were not yet available.
