BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police say they have arrested a man suspected of fatally striking another man with a tire iron during a New Year’s Day brawl.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1hoZmDc ) that 23-year-old James Dean was arrested late Saturday in the death of 53-year-old Michael Taylor Sr.

Booking records show that Dean was booked with second-degree murder and was being held at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison with bond set at $200,000. It was unclear if he had an attorney.
