MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minneapolis father injured in a duplex fire that took the lives of five of his seven children has been released from the hospital.
Sixty-year-old Troy Lewis suffered smoke inhalation and injured his spine jumping from a second-story window Feb. 14 when the fire broke out. Lewis ran back inside and rescued 9-year-old Shaca and 5-year-old Electra. Shaca remains hospitalized in critical condition. Electra has been upgraded to satisfactory. KSTP-TV (https://bit.ly/1k4VD2u ) reports their father was released from Hennepin County Medical Center over the weekend.
Five siblings, ages 8 years to 18 months, died in the fire. Investigators say the cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
