ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (AP) - Police investigating the disappearance of a St. Albans woman have found a body behind her house.
Kanawha County sheriff’s Cpl. Brian Humphreys says detectives obtained a search warrant Sunday after receiving anonymous tips and conducting interviews. They found a woman’s body inside an outbuilding at 59-year-old Eva Linda Woods’ residence.
The body was sent to the state medical examiner for identification and an autopsy.
Humphreys says the case is now being investigated as a homicide.
Woods was last seen Friday outside her house.
