LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Firefighters in Lake Havasu City say a 73-year-old man is recovering after the all-terrain vehicle he was riding rolled over.

The Lake Havasu City Fire Department says the man was riding in the desert east of the city Saturday just before 5 p.m. when he rolled down a ravine.

Rescuers reached him by helicopter after about an hour.

Authorities say he suffered injuries to his head and legs.

Rescuers carried him through rough terrain to the helicopter.

The man, whose name has not been released, was airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where he is listed in stable condition.
