COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A 53-year-old woman accused of plotting to kill her husband southeast of Colorado Springs has been convicted of several charges.

Prosecutors announced Friday that Sandra Marion Barajas was found guilty of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and accessory to murder for the February 2013 death of Miguel Barajas.

The Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1l9Hn94 ) the man was found shot to death in the bedroom of his Security-Widefield after an apparent break-in, which was later determined to have been staged.



Investigators say Miguel Barajas’ daughter, 34-year-old Dawn Richburg, and a male acquaintance of the women, Tommy Wright, acknowledged shooting the man.
