DALLAS (AP) - A 17-year-old is held on $150,000 bond and charged with murder of a man whose body was tossed from a moving vehicle along a busy Dallas freeway.
Authorities say Gaspar Enciso was arrested Friday after police tracked his number to texts found on the cell phone of slaying victim Pedro Calixto-Velenta. He was spotted pushed out of an SUV during the Tuesday morning rush hour along Dallas’ LBJ Freeway. Police say he had several stab wounds and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The driver of the SUV kept going but hit another vehicle in a school parking lot. The driver then ran off on foot.
Calixto-Velenta’s phone was found in the SUV along with two bank receipts. Bank surveillance video showed Enciso with the victim withdrawing money.
