The first shooting occurred around 12:05 a.m. Friday, when a 24-year-old man was hit in the chest near 16th Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard. Police initially couldn’t find the victim, but soon learned he had been driven to a hospital in a private car.
The man underwent surgery, but further details on his condition were not disclosed.
The second shooting occurred around 4:15 a.m. Saturday in a strip mall near Ellison and East 18th Street. The victim suffered multiple gunshots to his upper torso and later died at a hospital.
