SUFFOLK, Va. (AP) - A Suffolk construction site yielded a surprise: an unexploded shell possibly dating to World War II

A construction worker found the shell Thursday at what once was a military weapons depot. The site has coughed up explosives in the past.

A contractor at the site called firefighters after the shell was found.

A military team took the vintage shell to Yorktown Naval Weapons Station for disposal.
