MONROE, La. (AP) - Ouachita Parish sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man in connection to a year-old shooting death.

The News-Star reports (https://tnsne.ws/1gR0AZy ) 38-year-old Kareem Abdul Jabar Hill, of Monroe, was booked Thursday with second-degree murder. Deputies say his arrest resulted from an investigation into the death of Chances Neal, which occurred in 2013.

On Jan. 26, 2013, deputies responded to a body found in the yard of a home on Bernstein Park. Neal had been shot multiple times.

Hill’s bond was set at $500,000.

Officials believe more arrests are possible.

It was unclear whether Hill has an attorney.
