ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in southern Arizona say a man accused of stabbing a family member in Oro Valley has been arrested.
Oro Valley police say 37-year-old Damien Martinez is being held on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder.
Officers responded to a home about domestic dispute at 6 a.m. Friday.
Witnesses reported a fight in progress and after police arrived on scene, officers separated the parties involved.
Police say the unidentified victim sustained at least one stab wound and remains in a Tucson-area trauma center with non-life threatening injuries.
They say Martinez was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center and he’s also facing a charge of domestic violence-aggravated assault.
It was unclear Friday afternoon if Martinez has a lawyer yet.
