DENVER (AP) - A developer is paying $30 million for the University of Colorado’s former Health Sciences Center and plans to turn it into a mix of apartments, condos, townhouses, restaurants and retail stores.
The Denver Post reports (https://tinyurl.com/ohj94kf ) the CU Board of Regents approved the sale to Continuum Partners on Thursday. It is scheduled to close by December if city government approves tax-related financing.
Denver-based Continuum is also instrumental in the development of Denver Union Station and Belmar in Lakewood.
The site at 9th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard is about 26 acres.
