PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - One of the suspects charged with murder in a double homicide on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in December now also is accused of assaulting a law officer with a knife.

The Rapid City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1dabJjs ) that court documents indicate Riley McCloskey is accused of attacking Special Agent Mark Kettell on Dec. 31, the day McCloskey was arrested.

Riley McCloskey and BillyRay McCloskey have pleaded not guilty in the deaths of Ben Clifford and Calvin Kills In Water, whose bodies were found Dec. 31 in a field south of St. Francis. Authorities believe they were killed Dec. 23 or Dec. 24.

Public defender Neil Fulton says defense attorneys will review the new charge against Riley McCloskey and then consult with him on his options. Fulton says McCloskey is presumed innocent.
