GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) - A Greenville man has been sentenced to serve 20 years in prison for a restaurant robbery in 2012.

District Attorney Dewayne Richardson tells the Delta Democrat Times (https://bit.ly/1my4prA ) that Antonio Sanders was convicted of armed robbery and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Richardson says Sanders was sentenced Tuesday in Washington County Circuit Court to 20 years for armed robber with five years suspended. Sanders was sentenced to an additional five years on the firearm count.



Prosecutors say a man entered Captain D’s on U.S. Highway 82 on July 29, 2012, dressed in black with a bandanna covering his face. The man demanded money while displaying a handgun but fled empty-handed after being recognized by employees.
