ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A 39-year-old Anchorage man will serve 11 1/2 years in a federal prison after being convicted on drug and weapons misconduct charges.

The U.S. attorney’s office says in a Thursday release that Micah Sean Ramirez was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Anchorage.

Prosecutors say Ramirez sold more than 13 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover officer and had two loaded weapons on him during the sale.

A prior felony conviction prohibits him from possessing firearms.

Besides the meth that was part of the sale, police say they also found another 45 grams of pure meth in his vehicle.
