BEL AIR, Md. (AP) - The Harford County Sheriff’s Office says airbags were stolen from 16 cars in Aberdeen, Abingdon and Belcamp.

Deputies say the thefts occurred late Wednesday and early Thursday. Thieves broke the rear passenger window of vehicles, unlocked the car’s front door and removed the airbag in the steering wheel.

Deputies estimate damage to each vehicle to be about $1,200.
