PESHASTIN, Wash. (AP) - Two men who were reported overdue after a drive up snowy Derby Canyon near Peshastin have been found dead.

The men were identified by the Chelan County Coroner as 50-year-old Ronald Schober, of Peshastin, and 68-year-old Douglas L. Strader, of Dryden.

They were reported missing on Wednesday and were found Thursday morning by search and rescue crews on snowmobiles.

The sheriff’s office says they died when their vehicle slid over an embankment in snowy conditions.
