PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) - Pawtucket police are asking the public for help in finding a man accused of defrauding a funeral home out of nearly $28,000.
Police say they’re looking for 72-year-old Martin Szuch, who has had addresses in Providence, North Providence and Cranston. He’s wanted on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses.
Authorities say a funeral home in Pawtucket paid Szuch and his company $27,500 to install a new fire alarm system, but he never did the work. Police say Szuch was self-employed and his company was M&S Comm Fire Alarm Systems.
Szuch is described as 6-feet tall and about 230 pounds with blue eyes and gray hair. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call Pawtucket police.
