NEW YORK (AP) - Officials say some students at Fordham University in the Bronx have been sick with the mumps.

The vaccine does not offer 100 percent protection. CBS New York (https://cbsloc.al/1eWAnnx ) says eight students have contracted the disease despite vaccinations.

Mumps can cause fever, headaches, muscle aches, fatigue and loss of appetite.
