MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot police have arrested a woman they say intentionally set fire to an apartment that she and her husband rented.

Authorities who responded to the Wednesday fire deemed it suspicious. Authorities began looking for 37-year-old Janette Martin, and Ward County deputies arrested her a short time later after she was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash.

Martin was treated at a hospital and then arrested. She was formally charged Thursday with endangering by fire, a felony. Court documents do not list an attorney for her.

Police Capt. John Klug (kloog) says authorities have not yet identified a possible motive. He says Martin allegedly tried to set several fires in the apartment, causing mostly smoke and water damage. Her husband wasn’t home at the time, and no one was hurt.
