GEISMAR, La. (AP) - Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies are searching for the man who robbed a Geismar bank.

Deputies tell The Advocate (https://bit.ly/OdP7cG ) the man entered the Red River Bank in Geismar Wednesday wearing a motorcycle helmet and a light jacket.

They say the man brandished a handgun and demanded money from the bank employees, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities say he may have left the scene as a passenger in a light-colored, four-door sedan traveling south on La. 73.
