LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Cache County authorities are investigating the death of a 47-year-old Providence man who collapsed at the county jail after his arrest on intoxication and weapons charges.
Sheriff Lynn Nelson says Bradley Roach died of an apparent medical emergency Wednesday in a cell at the jail in Logan. He says Roach collapsed just as he was arranging to post bail about 5:15 p.m.
The Deseret News reports (https://tinyurl.com/lw3urde ) Roach was booked just before midnight Tuesday on suspicion of discharging a firearm within city limits, carrying a weapon while under the influence, intoxication and criminal mischief. He was taken by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Davis County Sheriff’s office and state medical examiner are conducting a routine investigation.
