BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge Magnet High School students recently won the regional competition for the National Science Bowl and are advancing to the national finals in Washington, D.C., in April.
WAFB-TV (https://bit.ly/1fe9EsB ) reports more than 250,000 students participated in the event, making it one of the nation’s largest science competitions.
The National Science Bowl brings together middle and high school students to compete in a fast-paced, question-and-answer format where they solve technical problems and answer questions on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, Earth and space science, physics and math.
The winners receive $1,000 for their school’s science departments.
