ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - Six suspects are facing charges after leading deputies in southwest Utah on an interstate chase that topped 110 mph and a manhunt in the desert northeast of St. George.

Iron County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nick Johnson says a white Dodge pickup with four teenagers and two adults from West Valley eventually became disabled early Wednesday morning after the Utah Highway Patrol deployed road spikes on I-15 just north of Toquerville.

The (St. George) Spectrum reports (https://tinyurl.com/pnjr2tf) the chase began about 3 a.m. after a deputy attempted to pull the truck over near Cedar City for failing to remain in a single lane. Three suspects were apprehended immediately but three fled.

Officers caught up with them in the desert near Leeds about 3:30 a.m. Two stolen guns were found in the pickup.
