MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) - Two men on Long Island have been convicted as part of the April 2013 takedown of a violent gang.

Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced the robbery convictions Wednesday of Kwame Lake of Hempstead and Derick Hernandez of Roosevelt.

Another defendant, Kurtis Phillip of Uniondale, was acquitted.

Prosecutors say members of the Crips gang operated as a group called “The Rollin 60s.”

Lake could face up to 15 years in prison. Hernandez could face up to seven.

Sentencing is March 14.
