MIAMI (AP) - This DNA was not made to last.

The new Fusion network says it will not order any new episodes of its original “DNA” show hosted by musician and broadcaster Derrick N. Ashong.

Fusion launched in October as a joint venture of ABC and Univision to tap the millennial generation with a focus on the English-speaking Latino population and beyond.

The Harvard educated Ashong’s show was titled as a play on his initials, and it was among the network’s most highly promoted early offerings. DNA sought to provide a creative look at entertainment, technology and politics.

A spokesman for the network said Ashong will now have more freedom to travel the globe and to produce both short and longer features for network.

Among his first jaunts: Sunday’s Super Bowl.
