DOVER, Del. (AP) - A fire has destroyed a landmark restaurant in Dover.

The News Journal (https://delonline.us/1il1Zrj ) reports firefighters were called to the Kirby and Holloway Family Restaurant just after 1 a.m. Sunday for a blaze. The restaurant is located at 656 N. Du Pont Highway.

In a Facebook posting, Dover fire officials say the cause of the fire is under investigation. But they say it does not look suspicious in nature. Fire officials say the restaurant is a total loss.

Volunteer firefighters from the Cheswold and Little Creek fire companies also were called to the scene.
