ACKERMAN, Miss. (AP) - A new emergency management director has been appointed in Choctaw County.

WCBI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1b4zqJr ) the county Board of Supervisors has named Anita Davis to replace Glinda Whitmire.

The change came after a lengthy discussion among supervisors in executive session this past week.

Davis will oversee the county’s emergency dispatch and response system.
