RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - Central Wyoming College in Riverton is looking locally and nationally for the school’s next president.
The Riverton Ranger reports (https://bit.ly/1gEq66O ) the school’s board of trustees met Wednesday to figure out how to find a successor to longtime president Jo Anne McFarland, who’s retiring June 30. Trustee Nicole Schoening says the group decided on a national search that also will include local candidates and current employees.
McFarland has held the post for 25 years and has worked at CWC for more than four decades.
Schoening says that “because this hasn’t been done in 25 years, I think all of us feel the enormity of this process.”
The board hopes to select a new president this spring so McFarland can help with the transition.
