BALTIMORE (AP) - Police have charged two teenagers in the killing of a woman in her east Baltimore home.

Police announced Sunday that they have arrested 15-year-old Allen Pinkney and 14-year-old Alonzo Gorham-Ramos in the killing. Both teens are charged with first-degree murder and other charges.

Police say 51-year-old Kimberly Leto was found unconscious in her home early Friday. Police say she suffered massive trauma but haven’t provided many details about her death.

Police say Gorham-Ramos has faced charges of breaking into Leto’s house before. Investigators believe the motive in this case is burglary. Police also said Gorham-Ramos’ mother is a dispatcher for the police department.

Leto’s slaying was the 27th homicide in Baltimore in the month of January, the city’s deadliest January since 2007 and its deadliest month overall since last June.
