BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The inaugural Allegiant Air flight from Burlington International Airport to Orlando, Fla., is scheduled for departure.

The nonstop flight is scheduled to leave Wednesday night. The flight will use an MD-80 aircraft able to seat up to 166 passengers.

The Allegiant Air flights replace direct Burlington-Orlando flights that JetBlue ended over a year ago.

A news conference on the first flight is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
