REIDSVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Police say an inmate accused of escaping from a south Georgia jail has been spotted in the northern Alabama town of New Hope.
Authorities say they began a manhunt Tuesday in the New Hope area for the inmate, Chad Dasher, who they say escaped from the Tattnall County Jail last month.
WTOC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1dN5VjX) that Dasher is accused of escaping with fellow inmate Raymond Smith. Smith was captured in Texas last week.
Authorities say Dasher has a history of fleeing from law enforcement and is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
