LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - A West Texas man already facing a federal child pornography charge now is accused by prosecutors of sexually assaulting a young girl for years.

Seventy-seven-year-old Dale Wray Fulford of Slaton is accused of molesting the girl starting when she was 7, when her family moved into a house Fulford rented.

Prosecutors say he gave the girl his ex-wife’s wedding ring as a “commitment.”

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal (https://bit.ly/1nNRqgW ) reports he was indicted Tuesday in Lubbock County on one count each of continuous sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony, and sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony.

Lubbock County online jail records do not indicate an attorney for Fulford, whose bail was set at $600,000.

Earlier this month, a federal grand jury indicted Fulford for allegedly producing child pornography.
