FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) - A Utah judge has determined there’s enough evidence to send a female high school teacher to trial on rape charges.

The Standard-Examiner of Ogden reports (https://bit.ly/MdvOhP) that a teenage boy testified during an evidence hearing Wednesday that he began having sex last year with 34-year-old Brianne Altice after she succumbed to his frequent flirting.

The boy, whose name is being withheld because he’s a minor, said he was out of his comfort zone after moving to Utah and Altice was the first teacher who was sympathetic. He was 17.

He says the two had sex on several occasions, including at her house.

Altice has been on paid leave as an English teacher at Davis High School in Kaysville since her October arrest. Her husband filed for divorce a month later.
