DETROIT (AP) - Crews battled a fire at a building that houses a club and apartments in downtown Detroit.

The fire department says there were no injuries following the blaze, which was reported about 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputy Chief John King tells The Detroit News that crews encountered smoke on the first floor, where the club is located, and heavy fire on the third floor.
