PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police say a man upset after a worker clearing snow pushed some in front of a parked vehicle in Washtenaw County fired a shot at the worker.

Pittsfield Township police say a bullet shattered the windshield of a front-end loader that was being used to clear snow Tuesday morning at Valley Ranch Apartments. The operator wasn’t injured. Police responded and the 39-year-old suspect was taken into custody.

The Ann Arbor News reports the man was upset that snow was around his wife’s vehicle. The man was being held at the Washtenaw County Jail pending a review by prosecutors.

The vehicle that was shot at was one of five or six trucks out removing snow from the parking lot Tuesday morning after more than 4 more inches of snow fell.
