PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona State House has approved a new system similar to Amber Alerts.

It notifies the public when a suspect who has killed or injured a law enforcement officer and who is dangerous and on the loose.

House Bill 2323 creates a “Blue Alert System” which would broadcast over media and highway signs the details of the suspect and his or her car.



The House passed the bill unanimously on Tuesday. It will now move to the Senate.

Eighteen other states have adopted the system.
