Man shot in leg on Wilmington street

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police say a man has been shot while walking on North Madison Street.

It happened about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Police called to the area for a report of shots fired did not find a victim.

Officers were then told by Wilmington Hospital that a man with a gunshot wound to the leg had arrived there. Police say the man was walking when he heard gunfire and realized he had been hit.
