INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana higher education officials are urging students to learn about financial aid for higher education as part of the state’s “Cash for College” campaign.

State officials are hoping students and their families will learn more ways to save money for school and more strategies for receiving financial assistance.

Commissioner for Higher Education Teresa Lubbers said Monday that she hopes the program will help college students graduate with less debt. The state plans to host a web meeting this Friday where students and parents can ask questions about financial aid.

The federal filing deadline for financial aid is March 10.
