PAMELIA, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say two children and two adults are being treated at hospitals after two pickup trucks collided on a northern New York road.
State police say the accident occurred around 7:40 p.m. Monday on Route 11 in the Jefferson County town of Pamelia (puh-MEEL’-yuh), 70 miles north of Syracuse.
Troopers say the woman driving one of the pickup trucks is in critical condition at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, while a man, a 2-year-old and a 3-month-old riding with her are all in serious condition at the same hospital.
A 3-year-old child wasn’t injured.
Troopers say all three children were in restrained properly in car seats.
Police say the 44-year-old man driving the other pickup was treated and released.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
